INTRODUCING THE HACK MAP

The Hack Map utilizes Lightship Maps for Web powered by 8th Wall, which will help participants navigate the MIT campus and track scheduled events with VPS-activated locations.

Participants in the 8th Wall track will have access to the sample project and easily clone this map for their projects, while Lightship track participants can leverage the VPS-activated locations to enhance their experiences straight from the Geospatial Browser in the Lightship Developer Portal.

Entering the Era of Spatial Computing

We are 3D creatures living in a 3D world but yet our digital experience to date has been relatively flat or in 2D. Enter Spatial Computing, a 3D revolution that will engage users in experiences that are our most immersive yet. From mobile phones to emerging mixed reality headsets and soon full AR glasses, spatial computing is changing every aspect of our lives from how we do business to how we explore the world and play. Join Tom Emrich, Director of Product for Niantic's AR Platforms, as he highlights the key trends to keep an eye on in 2024 which all point to this year being a watershed milestone for Spatial Computing.
